We will be meeting some folks from the Cleveland BRAG chapter while we are there. I have one of the nicer cabins reserved at Fontana Villiage for Saturday night, Sunday night, and possibly Monday night. Originally 4 of us were going to share the cabin but we've had a couple of late-notice cancellations. Currently there are about 10 of us in total who will be meeting at Deal's Gap. If you are interested in meeting us and riding the area over the weekend and if you need a place to stay please let me know. I'd hate to change my reservation if someone else can benefit from the two spots currently available. Hope to see you there! I was wondering, have you ever been there on a holiday weekend? Will the roads be clogged with RV's? I don't want to drive 800 miles so I can ride the Cherohala at 20 MPH ! We'll be arriving Thursday late and will probably camp at the Deals Gap Resort. It's good to here some fellow Bueller's will be down there. I'll be riding a '98 S1W black/nuke blue and Beth will be on a ratty old Honda Hawk GT. I've been there on a holiday weekend a couple of times. The Dragon is a circus! There's usually some really funny stuff going on, and late morning to mid-afternoon it does get pretty crowded. As for the Cherohala I've never really been caught in a bad traffic jam on it, but regardless the stuff that happens on the dragon that weekend is so hilarious it's almost worth it to go just for the show. I'll be riding a black XB9S with soft bags and I wear a blue Aerostich jacket. See you there...
