Well a couple days ago I went down, and so far all signs are pointing to the fact that my bars may be bent very slightly on the right side downward. The off tore off my bar end too, but I can piece it back together from replacement parts, I'm wondering if maybe the bars bent inside the throttle tube causing it to bind at half throttle or more and return slowly. Tomorrow I'll be taking it into the shop to get my front tire swapped out finally, but in the mean time while they're doing that, I'm going to dig into the throttle cable and see why, post-wreck, the throttle is slow to return. I'm really hoping its NOT because of the bars and its just a binding cable and not the aforementioned bars or a shot throttle assembly. Long story short, I want to see abouts how much I'd be looking at for JUST the bars themselves, not necessarily the bracket, just the bars. I already have Clubmans on there so I don't need the kit. To be clear, I'm not necessarily PROMISING I'm buying anything yet until I know more and have the extra scratch. Used take-offs are fine, as long as they haven't been dropped on or can be assured to be, well, not bent. If it turns out my throttle assembly itself is shot, any line on a new setup for the throttle? |
