Hi, Before I order a Buell Race ECM I still have a couple of questions. Hope you guys can answer them for me: a. Will the ECM work on a completely stock European 1125CR? b. Do I need to bypass/disconnect anything when i order the current ECM. (BAS, stand switch) c. Do I need to ask for a European spec ECM when ordering? d. What is "premium" Fuel? RON 95 or higher? Thanks Dennis |

Your questions would be best asked in an email to Erik Buell Racing. From what I have gathered, you will need to bypass the kickstand switch. |

what about the catalytic converter? I have a cali bike, and my bike has a catalytic converter, i think the euro bike has one as well. I was under the impression that the ebr ecm only works with bikes that do not have a catalytic converter. |

I already sent them an email, but the tech@ address bounced and on info@ they don't answer. That's why I asked the questions here:-) |

all later bikes have a CAT......so the answer is yes it will work fine....I have one....my brother has one....all good. You need to live without a sidestand cutout though. Easy habit to learn!! |

In theory if you tell them it's for a Euro bike they may be able to move the shift cct back to the BAS pins and disconnect the BAS instead of the sidestand switch. I know it'll run fine with the cat, I'd be interested to hear whether they use the same fuel map/ignition advance for all bikes though, catalytic convertors are sensitive creatures... |

I have the Erik Buell Racing race ECM on my 1125R 09 model. I asked Michael at Erik Buell Racing to programme the ECM to keep the functionality of the sidestand which he actioned accordingly. I also had the BAS kept in service You won't be disappointed, make sure you order a CR ECM or your speedo will not show the correct MPH Shell Vmax or the BP equivalent is what you should be running your bike on anyway - these are 95 RON from memory If you are running the standard exhaust you need to advise Erik Buell Racing of this as well (Message edited by Dirty_john on May 04, 2010) (Message edited by Dirty_john on May 04, 2010) (Message edited by Dirty_john on May 04, 2010) |
