I was heading up 151 from Verona into Madison early this afternoon. Was looking at a red bike heading in the opposite direction which turned out to be a Uly. I think we both did a double take. Anyone here? Interestingly, I was heading back from test-driving a Triumph Tiger, at Sharer Cycle. The interesting part is that riding the Tiger partially answered my hooligan question. I loved how smooth the Tiger was (I've never been confident the Uly is running as smoothly as it should - not enough experience with bikes in general or twins in particular, I guess), but the Tiger seemed so...refined. The Uly isn't obnoxious or belligerent, but it seems like there's a rogue, an independent thinker, or a bit of anti-establishment lurking in there, waiting to thumb it's nose at.....whoever it needs to. Refined isn't bad, just different from Uleen. |
