Anyone made quick release pins themselves rather than purchase a set from American Sport Bike? Not to take money from them but it should be a simple DIY project. Just wondering of anyone has done it and would do a short write up (with pics), for the rest of us smucks who don't know where to start. Partly because i haven't seen a setup yet. Thanks |

i made my own. i used a drill and a grinder to get the rounded/cone shape. then drilled a hole for the cotter pin. i allready had some of the cable, otherwise i would not have tried to make them. the ones from American Sport Bike look waaaay better, and all the guess work and re-work is done. DIY these are cheaper on paper if you can get em right the first time, but it'll cost you more in your time and effort. |

made my own also. originally i cut down stainless steel bolts. but later i found the pins i was looking for. called 'drop nose pins', a piece in the ends rotates 90 degrees.. i used brass ones at first, but now have stainless steel ones http://www.ukbeg.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=546 7 |
