As you may have read a few weeks ago, I installed my EBR ECM and new HMF slip-on, but the HMF is entirely too loud so I need to pull it off and put the stocker back on. I am happy with the EBR ECM, as it really improves the rideability at lower RPMs, so I would like to keep it on the bike. Is anyone running the EBR ECM with the OEM muffler and if so, any issues? Thanks! |

Not sure if anyone is running the EBR ECM with the OEM muffler, but it is a question that I would love to hear answered. I have been chomping at the bit to pull the trigger on one, but wasn't sure. If you try it please post your results. Thanks. |

Drop an email to sales at EBR. Not tech. I got a response in like a half a day. I bet they could configure it for the stocker. R |

I installed the EBR ECM this past weekend on my bike. So far no problems. I have the stock air filter and exhaust on the bike. I went to EBR to pick the ECM up and they knew my stock configuration and stated it would work fine. I didn't have anything custom loaded in my ECM either, it was right off the shelf. I also mentioned that I had ordered a K&N and was going to install it at a later date. They said that the K&N and the stock paper element were pretty comparable and it shouldn't have any adverse effects on the EBR ECM. Hope that helps. |

Thanks for the tips. I will probably email Michael at EBR and see if they will reflash my race ECM for the stocker and lower the idle RPM. It idles at approx 1700 rpm now, which is a bit high. I would like to see it between 1400-1500. |

I ordered my EBR ECM when they were first available and specified stock muffler with K&N. You won't be disappointed. Money well spent. |

I need to repaint my stocker and try it out. Getting a little tired of the HMF's loudness. |

Can't fault the EBR pump gas race ECM - worked for me straight out of the box. Lower running temps, greatly improved off-on throttle repsonse, slightly better MPG, better running all round really. just a few error codes which will clear out after 50 cycles etc. The modded IAC on overun even makes the bike stabler as I have reported on other posts (Message edited by Dirty_john on April 27, 2010) |

You MIGHT even squeeze a few more ponies out of the R on top --all with a fatter fueling all along the curve so there should be an increase there as well. Not to mention it is healthier for the motor... (Message edited by fresnobuell on April 27, 2010) |
