Went into the local dealer and ordered the '10 rear wheel kit, 01309.1AKYBQ for my '06, said it was still available, about 2 weeks out. Waiting at the parts counter I happened to look over at the old orange '06 "new" Uly (6k miles, untitled with warranty) that has been sitting there since they opened 3 yrs. ago. I often go over & talk to it, work the throttle & clutch, make it feel wanted! They had it for $8600 for a long time with no action but I looked today and the tag was back up to $11,495! Good luck! |

It's a collector bike, you can't just get inferior 06's anymore. Similar to how a local Pontiac dealer wanted an arm and a leg for a brand new 2002 Trans Am a year back. |

Well, we had dealers still holding on to tubers until at least recently. It won't surprise me to walk into one of these dealerships and find a Uly sitting there 2 years after Erik Buell starts building street bikes again. |

The dealership that my XT came from in Waukon, IA claims they recently sold the first 06 Ulysses XB12X ever built. Serial #1, with only a few miles on it. Barricade orange, of course. I asked the salesman about the person that bought it and he said it was a young guy that intends to ride the heck out of it, collector value did not mean much to him. I wish I could have bought it and just put it in storage but one bike at a time is about all I can handle. |

I saw that bike(serial #1) on ebay about 2 months ago. I think it went for about $6K |

I think Froggy misspelled he was trying to say Superior. |

If they were superior they wouldn't of thrown them out in a dumpster |

Froggy- I will gladly take those inferior bikes off your hands so you don't have to pay dumpster disposal fees. |

It is all supply and demand. The supply is gone. Time will tell what happens to demand. |

"If they were superior they wouldn't of thrown them out in a dumpster " I guess one could say that about all Buells then. Weren't the dumpster bikes test mules or something like that? I am sure one of each model has seen the dumpster. So, Froggy, maybe all Buells are inferior? If that's the case I will take yours off your hands. It wont even cost you too much money for my troubles. |

I think October will determine the outcome and the moguls of chrome will be sorry-azzed MoFo's. My .02 YMMV |

Most of us will be long past riding or just passed, before the remaining unmolseted Ulysses are worth any significant amount of money. Until then I'm just going to ride it, and maintain it for as long as I can. |

$8000 - $8500 is the going rate for a new 08 or 09 X as of mid April. That is if you can still find one. That price is out the door plus tax an title. It includes the BS freight and prep. I just got done with a search of the eastern half of the us. It was interesting talking to different HD dealers. I'm glad to be done dealing with Harley dealers. |
