I have tendonitis in my left wrist and that Sportster clutch in my S3 is killing me. Does anyone know of a lighter set of springs or any other solutions? thanks

Terry, Do a search on Muller or just check it out at American Sport Bike. I haven't used one but, there is a lot of positive feedback posted here.

I've got the lighter clutch spring out of a Uly in my S2. It's a drop in replacement, but of course the primary cover has to come off and a special tool is needed to swap out the clutch spring, however it does reduce the lever effort.

Yeah, that Uly spring helped me a lot.
The other thing might be a Barnes 'superslick' clutch cable. They are cheaper than the factory ones, and have like a teflon sheath or something, that makes them pull super-slick.
Also, Drag Specialties sells a "ClutchLite" that is just the inner piece of the Muller Power Clutch, and it only cost about $35, as opposed to $150.
Here's one on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CLUTCH-LEVER-CLUTCH LITE-FOR-HARLEY-BIG-TWINS-XL-BUELL_W0QQcmdZViewIte mQQhashZitem4cee6895c0QQitemZ330417345984QQptZMoto rcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Have you tried grabbing the lever out further from the pivot for more leverage?

Cost = $0

Sometimes, I notice that I choke up on the lever in traffic, making it harder to pull.

I have to force myself to get it out further.

MRC Clutch Effort Reduction Kit: http://www.phaedruscycle.com/
Do a search on badweb for these. Pso (Paul) put one in his Uly to ease the pull, due I think to arthritis. Pretty widely available. Easy swap-out ball and ramp kit, replaces OEM part.

I just installed an XXL Clutchlite in my 2000 X1, last week. It definitly helped. I don't think it's the "40% less", as advertised, but it is definitly more linear and smoother. The effort was definitly reduced, just not 40%.
