I've got a post recall Showa listed on this site. Mine's a 16.5 with very little use. I've got the correct front shock bracket, too, if needed. Off a '98 S3. RBrider |

Is 1999 rear shock the same for a X1 and a S3/S3T? |

If you have a 16.5 inch, measured eye to eye, then it's the same. The only other shock is the 14 inch, measured eye to eye. If i remember correctly, the 2001/2002 models came with the 14 incher. If you have the 14 inch shock, the front bracket is all you need to change to make the 16.5 work. I have the bracket as well. RB |
