Hey Guys, Is it correct all seats after 2006 black in color were all considered lowered seats that came stock on the 2006 model year? So a Black seat say off a 07, 08 or 09 model year will fit on a 06 model year and is the lowered seat as any model years say after 07 and newer came stock with the lowered seat? Hope this makes sense? Thanks |

In 2006 the stock seat was tall In 2006 a very low seat was an available to purchase In 2007 the standard seat was in between the tall and low seat In 2009 the (2006) tall stock seat was available All seats should fit all years, color doesn’t make a difference |

To add; The stock '06 seat had a longitudinal seam on both sides of the upper front cover. The '06 stock replacement in '09 was up dated without these seams. The optional '06 low seat is the lowest of them. It has a gel pad and is nearly flat across it's width on the rider part with a large step up to the pillon, which is padded the same as the stock seat. It also is made with a slipperier cover that will allow side to side transitions to be easier. In '07 the "new" style rider seat area was kind of "V" shaped, nearly as high as the '06 stock, the forward "V" taper helps with reaching the ground when stopped. The seat's plastic pans are all the same and can be difficult to latch the first time, until it 'learns' the contour of the mounting frame. So they will all interchange, but can be a bummer to latch the first time. |

Yes they are. I have an 06 and wanted to try the 08 seat- it refuses to latch in no matter how much pressure I apply, so yours may or may not latch in. |

When I first installed my first '07 seat I had to loosen the latch bolts to adjust it so the seat would fit, a bit more for the second '07 seat. Oddly, the '06 Low went right on before I bought the '07 seats so I don't know what that all means. Except that when I found a happy medium all of them fit fine. |

Check the positive battery cable....Mine was sticking up a little and wouldn't allow my seat to go down. |
