I guess I'm not such a bad-ass after all. I wrecked twice in about 1 mile, then I aborted the mission. Wreck #1- Going up the road on packed snow, nice and easy, feet dragging lightly on the ground, puckered up like never before. Front tire washed out, slammed my stupid ass on the ground, hard. Cars just go around as I struggle to pick up the bike on this icy packed snow. Got bike upright, started back up, continued on my ridiculous mission. Wreck #2- Proceeded to I-95 on ramp, sheer ice. Rode 1/3 of ramp sideways like a hero. Top of the ramp was O.K. until I tried to merge into the right lane at about 35 mph.(did you know that people are in a huge hurry on I-95 in the morning?) I had a huge gap in traffic, so I went for it. Made it about 50 yards and some other chowderhead decides he wants to drive about 20 feet behind some chowderhead on a motorcycle on an icy road. This distracted me long enough to let my front wheel do whatever it wanted to again. Went down nice and easy on the right side, but all I could focus on was the car that was behind me. I don't know how he missed running over my head. He didn't even hit my bike. Bike comes to rest on the shoulder. I came to rest right behind it. Everybody else just keeps on going. Got the bike back up, turned it around and walked it back down the on ramp. No injuries to me, and the bike looks to be unscathed as well. Although the handlebar may be slightly tweeked. I need to do a better inspection when the sun comes up. I should have someone do an inspection on my head while I'm at it. My good friend, who is an Army Green Beret always says there's a fine line between hard-core and stupidity, I really crossed that line today. |

Once I put that NJBO sticker on my bike, I thought I was obligated to be there-sort of like a gang thing. But the thought of rippin it up with a bunch of duc's is tempting. |

I just don't think I can swing it due to needing so many days off, I will be using them all up with homecoming and other events. |

I stopped in at Cliff's Cycle Revolution today. What a nice place. They had every model BMW in there including the S1000RR. Every Ducati model, and about 4 or 5 Indians. They have lots of Scorpion gear, including helmets. Olympia gear, all the usual BMW gear, and they carry Held gloves. If I didn't already spend $300.00 at Danbury Buell on Uly parts, I would have bought those Held Phantoms. Really nice gloves. Danbury was packed today, at least when I was there. Really sad to see there's only one new Buell left in there. Besides that, there's nothing in there I wanted to see. Besides you, Jeff, of course. |

Only one left? they must have sold the other two. One xb12s was used, a white xb12r and an 1125 was all that was there when I was there a couple days ago. Sad, very sad. |
