Well I put on and it wasn't that tough to do and I took some pics but my file is too big to upload. Any way, I rode it a few ago and I can feel a pretty big difference in the bikes attitude. It seems as if it wants to come up a lot easier but that could be related to the weight loss from the stock muffler. Now, for anyone who may be considering the D&D, ITS VERY LOUD! Now loud doesn't bother me as all my stuff is pretty loud but this thing is off the charts. Is this common with these pipes?

The D&D is stupidly loud, its easily one of the loudest (if not the loudest) pipe available for the bike. No joke, running open headers is quieter.

Even for people who like loud, the DnD is TOO loud. I threw mine in the trash.

Maybe try repacking it and finding something to quiet it down some, maybe an insert?

Well I took the end off to look inside the pipe and it seems to have all the packing in it. I have a plan, I have a set of Carbon Arrow pipes from my SuperHawk that look as if I can modify one to fit where the 2 to 1 comes together. Should I get it to work I will post pics some how.

I bought an HMF a few months back and recently installed it. When I was researching slip-ons, I didn't want one too loud and was told by many that the D&D was louder than the HMF. When I fired the bike up with the HMF on it, I was shocked how loud it was, followed by the thought: "how freakin loud must the D&D be?".

The HMF is la bit loud when the bike is warming up. After that, it settles in to a nice rumble. I go by LEO's all the time...They don't even stop chewing their doughnut...

My dealer had a CR with the D&D pipe by the front door and it was so loud that even the "hard core" bikers flinched when it started.

I must say that I am tossing the idea around in my head to sell the one that I have. I really like the sound, but now that I have the OEM pipe I am liking it too. Am thinking about going with the D_Adams type 1 muffler.
