I did, back in November. that's where I picked up my CR.
I picked up a ton of Buell gear, jackets, sweatshirts, t-shirts, patches, and stickers, with a 65% discount.
Looks like I may have to go back!

I did not see a white/blue 1125r.

I saw several black and one red but no white.

I called Barnett HD about the '09 black XB12SS, and they said B wouldn't come off 7500! (+TTL!) It quickly turned into an ego thing. "Rick" wasn't willing to play ball. I can't help but wonder what that sticker actually says...
Not willing to travel there to find out.

Not many dealers will deal over the phone, so that doesn't surprise me.

You should have bought it, $7500 is an amazing price for an amazing bike. You lost out.

What were you expecting anyway? MSRP is $10,300, they only get a $2500 factory rebate on that model....so they are already $300 under MSRP margins...

Jonzin, check the badweb for sale section for a great price on exactly the bike you are looking for. Low miles and everything. But then, it's in Illinois - not exactly the SW...

The black one is $6,999 and I wonder if they charge freight and setup too, plus tax if you are a TX resident.

Were there any 08-09-10 XB12Ss's in their inventory?

Sam

to much money from the dealer $7000 with delivery and set up wouldn't be a bad deal. With the economy being in the shitter and there still being alot of buells out there I couldn't see paying top dollar for one. If you want to see what the buells are really worth follow ebay and watch the sales of 09 and 2010 models.

The sellers trying to get $7500-$9000 for xb's and 1125 never even get any bids. The truth is that the buying public really doesn't want to pay over $7000 grand for one

Nightripper is right - the ultimate "real" price is what the market will bear. And, as he also points out, it's a bad economy/market right now. However, I think we Buell riders are doing a disservice to ourselves (unless you are a new buyer!) by letting the Harley rebates after October affect our idea of a fair "price". Just think of any car model out there - at times the manufacturer has a rebate that lowers the sale price, but it doesn't permanently alter the price of that model. If you miss the rebate/sale, guess what - you missed that price. It will be interesting to see what happens to prices a year from now - do they come up because there are no more bikes to be had, and the memory of the rebates has faded, or will we have permanently depressed the used bike prices for Buell? If you didn't know about the rebates, and someone offered a Buell or any other bike a couple thousand under MSRP you'd jump at it. The hesitation is the psychological effect of knowing you "could have had it" for something less. Same thing happens to folks in the stock market.

the other thing that will effect future buell prices will be the availability and supply of parts and vendors. If you have a 1125 or xb and keep the mileage down below 2000k grand, and leave it completely stock then your bike would probably go up with time 5-10 yrs. But if you ride it normally the price will drop significantly and parts availability and service will effect the price. Its like the old Indian clones and Exelsior Hendersons, that ppl paid alot of money years ago, right now you couldn't give one away.

There are also alot of collectors that snapped buells up and are letting them sit in museum conditions, trying to make them an investment.

The same thing happened when triumph went out of bussiness 2 times in 1973(BSA div. gone,(norton in 1976) and (triumph 1983).

There was a collector that bought every thing that triumph had left in their warehouses and when they sold everything in early 2001 they had brand new still in the crate triumph 750 specials selling $38,000 etc.

I hope EBR and other suppliers stick around selling buell parts, but I feel that alot of them will change there focus in order to survive or stop selling buell parts completely.

My advice for anyone buying a buell would be to ride the hell out of it and enjoy it, if you have more than one bike stick to the buell and alot of miles on it. When it gets old and tired or close to the 7 yr parts availability sell it to someone who wants it and look back and say you got your $7000 grand worth of enjoyment.
