I understand if I want this done for free I need to have a dealer do it. But with the lack of confidence I have with my dealer is it possible to buy the upgrade? There has to be a part number assocaited to it. I would rather pay money for the new parts then have to deal with the service dept.

Picked both of my Rs up last Monday. First trip with the RED one Battery light, then engine lights come on on the HWY about 20 miles from home. I pulled over at a safe spot....battery terminals less than finger tight.(that's an easy thing to forget?)

Then...I check the terminals on the Black one, warm her up and head to work...two miles from the house SYSTEM VOLTAGE comes on.

Not a whiner....but both bikes' displays were not reset....time, etc.No attention to detail... not very confidence inspiring. Was hoping for a TN trip this coming weekend...

I took a 75 mile ride after getting my harness done ... ran like a champ. My tech also did not reset my CLOCK to the correct time ...

My clock has never been reset, neither has the service counter. I wonder if they reset the FM presets on the Street Glides??? I bet!

I was a mechanic for 8 years. It's little details that count. I would never think of doing an oil change and not putting a service sticker inside the windshield, not only is peace of mind that the job was done right, but a reminder for your customer TO COME BACK. It's easier to reset the God D@mn counter than to try to write on one of those stupid plastic static cling oil change stickers. Okay, I'm done.
