09s no longer need a TPS reset, whit the newer air cooled engine that was done away with.

I guess you didn't read your service manuals.

Also, it was posted in several threads in the last few days

quote:

To reset an 08+ Buell, do the following:
1. Turn on the key.
2. Set the kill switch to the run position.
3. Don't start the engine. Rotate the throttle from fully closed (gently forced closed) to fully
open (gently held open), and then back again to closed (gently forced closed).
4. Repeat 3 times. Hold each position (fully open, fully closed) for 1 full second.
5. Turn the key off and on.

Would there be any reason to do the tps reset if you don't have any problems and have made no mods?

Not really. One of the tuners does it before every dyno run to insure consistent results, but it is overkill for normal people. You should only have to do it if you swap the ECM or you are troubleshooting a running issue. Hell, it takes only a minute to do, so doing it whenever you remember can't hurt. : )

I installed the Jardine GP1 and EB Racing ECU. CK engine light is on.
I'll try this.
Thanks
