what is the best way to change the spark plugs in my xb9 city x, what tools do i need,is there a easy way? are the expensive plugs any better? thanks | ||

Look here: http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/General-Moto rcycle-Chat/Spark-plug-write-up I changed my plugs recently using this method, worked like a charm! I did have some trouble getting the boots back on until I ran to sears and picked up a tool to help get them seated. | ||

Take the old ones out, put the new ones in. Standard plug socket, extension and ratchet for the rear and the socket and a box open for the front. It's not a difficult job, once you remove the left side scoop to get at the front plug. No. Stick with simple. Mike P.s. - use a piece of fuel line to help put the rear plug back in, makes it a snap. | ||

I had no problem with the plugs, it was the wires that were a pita. | ||

Plugs not a prob, follow 1_mike post above. Wires, wire pullers help and before putting wires back on, coat plug portion with dielectric grease, helps with wire removal for next change out. C. | ||

Don't forget the anti-sieze on the plug threads. |
