This morning my battery light came on for the first time ever... after this upgrade! Seems to happen consistently when batt volts, as shown on the IC display, go below 13. This only happens at idle. I am running an EBR ECM with an idle lowered to 1250rpm..... i think it's just a function of the lowered idle and nothing to worry about. Once I take off and Im underway volts are solid 13.3-13.7 and no battery light. no CEL either.

you guys think this is okay?

i too have the race ecm and 1250 rpm...but have not had the battery light...also mine has gone into the 12 volt territory but no ligh,,,fyi

13.3 - 13.7 seems low. I show 14's with old harness. Only one time did i see it drop to 13.7. Kinda weird i guess.

i get anywhere from mid 12s to 14 something w new harness...old harness almost was at 14 and above...i think thst it was over charging?heating the stator that way.

Mid 12's to 14 should be normal mine does that exactly depending on how much abuse the engine is taking especially in high traffic areas. If it gets down below 12 your stator will be on the verge of being toast. Reducati i think is right if its cycling in that range I think its keeping the temp. of stator respectable.

Be advised, if you spec the idle lowered to 11-1200 rpm, expect battery discharge while idling at 175F and hotter CT.
The stator loses output as it heats up.

Originally, the idle rpm was lower, but charging issues prompted the raised idle speed in a "flash".

I have the newest flash and mine still idle's at 1200 rpm at 175 and hotter. Hopefully another stator wont burn out.

damn it. battery light is only on at 12.3 or lower volts and always comes on when at idle.... not sure if it does this with the stock ECM as I installed the EBR ECM right away.

new thing i noticed tonight: The relay in the tail is clicking like a bat out of hell when rolling with bike turned on but not running. Im not sure if the relay clicks when the bike is running because the pipe is so loud. LOL! I swear the relay does not click if bike is stationary, turned on, but not running. Weird I know. Im going to reinstall the OEM ECM and see whats up
