Is there a listing anywhere of all the colors the S3's were available in from the factory? (and all the other tubers, for that matter...) |

Paint names and codes from the paint and body section in the knowledge vault, maybe it's the same as Frank's pdf, I have trouble with downloads here at work: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/3595.html?1269575008 |

Ebutch - no, not yet. Casually shopping CL and saw this "orange" one not too far away. I just didn't know for sure if that was a factory color or not - it's not the original owner. Is that air cleaner/fairing configuration standard (for a '98)? BTW, your S3T is beautiful... |

98's had the big breadbox just like the S1 and S1W, and the 99+ models. That right side fairing piece looks to have been modded for better lines with the ham can type air cleaner . Looks nice, tastefully done mods. Any details on the motor work? Those aren't stock sporty cylinders. Shock may be bad or just seeping, see the oil residue and dirt at the back of the canister? |

It looks like the heads are different as well, possibly Edelbrock, but I don't remember if they made them for the sportster motor. |

I did talk to the guy selling it last night. The paint isn't original - was teal/silver frame from the factory. Re-stated edelbrock heads, cam and carb but didn't say anything about the cyls. Not sure I like the extent of the non-originality, he doesn't have any of the original stuff. Think that's why it hasn't sold? Doesn't seem horribly overpriced given the low milage. Ebutch, thanks for the offer - just not sure if I'm serious about it yet... |
