Ordered this shield for my 1125R at a Cycle World Cycle Show. Was told 9 nine days for me to receive it. Took 6 weeks. Shield showed up with a nice big scratch in the spot you'd look through most of all-go figure. It was properly bagged, with the bag in tact, which means the thing was bagged with this scratch on it!!? Poor communication with sales guy leads me to believe they have more business than they really need, particularly when they ship damaged goods more than 4 weeks late. Wanna be overcharged for a damaged product you are lied to about? Go with Zero Gravity. I'm sick of companies thinking they can just screw over their customers in the motorcycle sales industry. them. |

You only get one chance to make a first impression. I too am getting sick of hearing I'm sorry all the time. Please just do your job right the first time. |

funny how this stuff happens, but if i did this at work OMG end of the world im hearing about it! im a machinist and we do piece work and production from 100-20,000+pieces per job. if we mess up one part of a batch we ship we get them ALL sent back as re work and have to go through ever single piece! why dont these companies get on it or have that??? oh because they can care less cuz each person is a customer not a company so whats a few people to them... |

Echoing Ridenusa, order from Al at americansportbike.com. I got my double bubble from them in a very timely fashion and with perfect packaging (as usual). (Message edited by darkitekt on March 25, 2010) |

I will look for an alternative product next time. I have called them and e-mailed them; results in stonewall. I e-mailed at 15 days, and on and on it went. They had my credit card processed from Day 1, and the charge went through. I would order from Al; does he carry something besides ZG 'screens? Here we are in the Great Recession and STILL getting product and service. I guess it hasn't gotten bad enough for some businesses. Just wanted to warn other riders about it, and bring about knowledge of better windscreen sources. |

I have a feeling that most of their business is not to the end user but to vendors. They probably only sell a small percentage of their shields to individuals and dont have very good practices to keep a customer updated on the status. |

No, certainly not worth $90, that's part of the rub. When I was racing and getting parts through a sponsorship with a tiny discount the ZG stuff was about $40 for a DB, just 3 years ago. Not sure where the additional 50% + surcharges are coming from, but it's obviously NOT going to training their people on how to use a phone or computer. Who has an alternative company that actually has demonstrated they WANT our business? Maybe a company out of Canada or Mexico or Europe? |

So it not worth $90, but what are you going to do right? Anyway does really help? Anyone who actually has one installed that is. Do you notice a difference with the ZG DB of the OME windscreen? |

+2 on Ordering it from American Sport Bike. Al got it to me very fast and I couldn't be happier with the product. Well worth the money. |

Sorry to hear you are not happy with your screen. We have sold and used ZG screens for 10 years with no problems in quality as I am sure that Al has the same experience (you don't tend to deal with bad suppliers for very long!). We have never received one that was scratched or damaged in any way. We have sometimes had to wait a long time to get them to us, but I have always put that down to the international distribution rather than the company themselves. I think you have obviously got a bad one and am sorry that you can't get to contact anyone at the factory. Have you tried calling them instead of e-mailing? In terms of use, I always preferred the ZG Sport Touring screen (even when racing) to the Double Bubble, as it gives much better protection and less wind blast for taller people. I'm sure Zero Gravity has a "Lets Screw The Customer" Department that has planning meetings and everything. Personally I like the ZG stuff. They invented the double bubble thing. Really, do you think that ZG has been in business this long by pissing people off? I'm sure they'll make it right..... of course if you call them all pissed and venting, that makes them want to get right on it even more Pull your panties out of your crack and deal with it. |

I'm not attacking anybody here with sarcasm or this kind of bullshit you are spewing. I'm telling people in this market, to spend money, that something is wrong at Zero Gravity-e-mails and phone calls were not returned and NO, I was respectful in communications to better get to the bottom of this manure pile; waste of time and money. If you cannot read someone else's basic warning here, to other Buell based consumers, without getting your "keyboard hero" on? Move along. I'm sure Zero Gravity has a "Lets Screw The Customer" Department that has planning meetings and everything. |

Take photos, save emails, send it back and dispute the charge. Have done that before and it ends up working out. Takes a while for the credit card company to clear it, but for a small charge they will usually credit you right away. Just save all your documentation of attempting to resolve things. |

Sorry Cheddarhead, I read your first post last night and I missed where said you had emailed without results. Still $90.00 doesn't seem out of line when trying to cover the tooling costs of a low volume bike like the 1125R. Google Fairing Screen Gustafsson. They do some semi-custom stuff and they may be able to help you out. |

You could contact your credit card company and refuse charges (defective product). That will kick it back to ZG, then they will be much more likely to want to work with you. |

I tried the DB, but ended up with the ST. They are just about the same height, but the ST does a better job of wind deflection. Also, the ST for the Buell does not have a flipped up lip like some other models, so it still looks sporty instead of touring-dorky. The stock screen was sending an air blast right at my neck, so for me it was worth it. FYI. two cents, etc. |
