This is a newbie question here. I went to my Buell/HD dealer this winter to buy replacement windscreen and airbox cover for my 2009 XB9SX (nothing wrong with my translucent red plastics, I just wanted to get the black) and they discovered that body parts are no longer available for Buell.

Does anybody have a good resource for getting replacement body parts for 2009 XB9SX?

Can't help with genuine Buell parts, but we can supply you with carbon fibre or glassfibre replacement airbox covers, screens and chin spoilers etc.

I may be wrong, but I thought HD was supposed to continue t sell Parts for Buells for so many years. Considering that there were '09 Scg and Longs offered in Villain Black I would think you should be able to order those parts new.
Check Ebay. I only see one on there now and it's Red but they come up from time to time and you can get good deals on them there. Also there is a classified section on the boards to look through for the parts or seek them.

One other thing. Check the Catalog on Buell's website for part numbers and take that to the parts counter at the dealership.

@Trojan -- I will check out your offerings, though I'd like to mention that your company has a rather unfortunate URL.

@Psayton -- You are correct about HD continuing to sell Buell parts, the only exception to that is replacement body parts. Mechanical parts, electrical, etc will be available for up to 5 years (according to HD.) I haven't scoured eBay yet, but will.

Did they use the year specific part numbers or those in the accessory catalog?

Have them try:

INTAKE CVR KIT, MIDNIGHT BLACK W/DECAL

This is the stock replacement number from my 2007 Factory Catalog.
