Interesting tidbit...

I met Tom Green last night in Tempe. He was walking down the sidewalk with a bunch of college aged kids wrapped in Aluminum foil (they were supposed to be robots) promoting his show at the Improv tonight. I might have to go to that.

So far looks like I will be in Jacksonville, NC for the next 3 years. I still have to talk to a few people, but that is where they are looking at sending me for now.

I will be on the Airstation (MCAS New River) for 3 years. We will have to start looking for a place to stay. Housing said that they won't have a waiting list and that basically we will have to live off base. So we will have to see.

I know huh, the guy passing out orders has pissed a lot of people off. Anyway, hopefully it will be available in 3 yrs. True, you just have to add another 4-5 hours to the drive. You all can come visit me, Jimmy, and Becky.

Hey,

there's a big biker cook out and bike blessing Saturday. I posted up in the adventures section. I'm jonesin to get back on the bike. All these twisty canyon / mountain roads out here in Southern California and me with no bike is getting to me!!!

I did take the time to go over to American Sport Bike. It's a little shop. That was pretty cool.

Hey folks, how ya'll doing? Finally I'm done with shift work. Good money but daaaaaamn I'm tired.
I just finished reading the closing of Buell by HD in Cycle World. I've come to the conclusion that:
1. Erik was warned by his lawyers and should have heeded that warning. He got in bed with HD and got screwed.
2. HD pimped Buell. They used Buell as a launching platform to introduce folks to their bikes. The new CEO saw Buell (racing) as fat. The fact that they didn't want to sell the motor/bike rights of the Barracuda B2 (new Buell Superbike) to Bombardier (Rotax) and paid the millions so that they could destroy the plans. All of this to keep anyone from being competitive is corporate greed and not about doing the right thing in the eyes of biking. It's a damn sport bike not a cruiser.

Fortunately within one year of Erik leaving Harley, he will be able to begin to build bikes again and I wouldn't be surprised to see him working with Bombardier (Rotax) to build a new bike. One can only hope.

i have never wrecked sooo many times in one day, and got right back in the saddle for more. ..... it's all been once per day, and then i slowly go straight home. HAHAHAHA

it'll be nice to have a clutch again, and im sure you, jason will appreciate the convenience of a front brake again.

I'm starting to like the new riding position. I've put over 250 miles on the bike with CR bars on it and I really really like it. I thought I was slumped too far over at first.

Now I just need to put my Drummer back on. This sewing machine sound is droning on me. I can actually hear my "Common Sense" telling me to slow down! But no one else can hear me. I had two, count 'em two, old ladies merge into my lane this weekend. Good thing my front breaks work! (haha @ Jason)
