I am also interested in the powder coating removal (only part of the bike I don't like is the diamond blue). Could I do it by just removing the plastics?

ive been considering this as well. Black and blue just dont really go together well in my opinion. Would this affect warranty in any way?

Ive seen that airplane stripper remove paint like a charm, but does it really work on powdercoat? Ive always wondered that, because I would love to polish the outside lip on my wheels.

The stripping isnt going as easy as i thought it would....the outer lip of the wheel is coming off like a charm, but the rest us taking a little more work than expected.

I have run into the same problem and know the amount of work removing powder coat from cast surfaces. Use aircraft stripper on the machined surfaced and then use citristrip (paint department at home depot) on the cast sections. Citristrip takes much longer than the aircraft stripper but it softens the powder to the point that you can use a nylon pad to get it off.

I read on some other forums that permatex gasket remover does a good job of removing the powdercoat on cast parts.
