I was considering cutting off a large section of My Trans vent hose (that runs underneath tail section of my M2) and running into a catch can which I would mount on the frame somewhere near rear hugger or passenger pegs. Do you think that would effect pressure by shortening hose? I'm doing this just as a precaution so that if I ever blow another Crank Shaft Seal ( I just recently replaced one!) I will not have oil all over my Rear Tire! Any suggestions Welcome!

There's no problem in doing that. It's just a vent hose, no back pressure is gained from having a longer hose.

(that's what she said)

I made mine longer and routed it up to the carb area and then put a PCV valve on it. I can see it while riding and can notice any oil accumulation on the breather part of the valve. So far, None.

I wrapped the vent tube over the battery and down the right side of it. At the end I wire tied a little clear bottle I can see from the right side of bike. After a ride I can check it and drain if needed.
