Probably another stupid question from me, but i put about 50 miles on my R and my rear brake squeaks. not all the time but when i am coming to a stop it will do it when i apply it. and when it is off and i am moving it around it does it. is there something i should be doing or its normal. | ||

This is a result of moisture from the exhaust being blown onto the rotor. Your solutions are to either go aftermarket pipe, buy the exhaust tip turnouts from Keda Designs, or my favorite solution, HTFU and live with it  | ||

I drag mine for the first block or so after getting moving in the morning to heat it up a bit and get rid of any moisture, haven't had a problem with brake noise since I started doing that (except possibly when I first apply them to do this, they complain). | ||

Uh, they work just fine? They're certainly high effort, but I can lock up the rear on dry pavement with them, and they're very useful for parking lot work/other low speed work if one doesn't wish to waddle like a Harley rider. | ||

They work if you actually use it once in a while. Due to my broken wrist I cannot give more than like 15% squeeze on the front brake, so I do most of my stopping with the rear. | ||

I only use the rear when stopped so I can take my hands off the bars. Plus I just go to fast to bother slowing down. | ||

Well, there's your rear brake problem then. You haven't bedded in the rear pads. Burn 'em in, and they work just fine. | ||

Yup. Do a series of stops from 40, then 60 down to 15-20 using JUST the back brake. When they get bedded in, it's like a light switch. All of a sudden they work like you think they should. R |
