could i get away with removing and re-installing my headers (to have them powdercoated) with out replacing the gaskets? the pipes are looking worse and worse every day. it's gone waaay beyond a blueing, and has started to look pretty bad especially when compared to the rest of the bike. i've gotten away with this a few times on several XB's, but those head-to-header gaskets can be pretty forgiving. i won't presume these are similar in that respect, as i have no experience with them. BUT i know some have put on a full-exhaust system. did you replace or re-use the gaskets? any issues with doing that? |

Tim, what did you do to/with your headers? i presume no engine rotation is required to remove the headers. they look to be more easliy accesible than the XB's |

ehhhh! wrong answer. rotation required. it's the rear that is a problem. i swapped during the valve shim check. i put the buell race exhaust on the track/race bike. saving the headers for return to stock some day. tim |
