So, my midpipe should be back from Jet-hot soon and I'd like to prepare a little before. Anyone have any tips for installing the Drummer exhaust? I'm not sure whether my computer is going retarded but every time I use the search function it just brings up a white page. Thanks in advance. | ||

Loosen the three (?) bolts that hold on the right rearset assembly. and don't forget to retighten em... Kevin will be quite helpful if you have any questions. Some of the best customer service I've ever had. Rob | ||

Thanks for the tip, it actually really helped. Next question, following the install, one of the headers seems to have a small gap:  You can see it on the rear header, which enters the collector on the right. Is there any way to shore that up to ensure that I don't have any leaks? I can't budge either pipe, and everything else fits perfectly. Pull them back off, put a very small amount of either copper or black hi-temp rtv silicone inside the tube, slip it back on and tighten it up. The slits at the top of the pipe is designed to collapse and snug up on the pipe, it makes it easier to put the pipe on. Regardless of which type of silicone you use, it just stops the extremely small leaks that would leave a carbon track or trace blowing up out of the pipe. Make sure to let it cure before starting it to prevent it from just blowing out. (Message edited by d_adams on March 17, 2010) |
