Anyone know where to get a headlight for a 2002 X1...? I am looking for the ENTIRE housing and glass.. Seems that mine will NOT keep out water at the very bottom... seems the pins inside are just NOT sealing it up... Thanks Matt. |

BMW part number 63-12-1-358-147 is the glass according to this thread: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/16657.html There is a Bosch part number too I believe. I MAY have the headlight bucket laying around at home. I needed the glass, but HD only sold the entire assembly. I'll check this evening. It's yours if I have it. |

I MAY have solved my issue... I will find out later this weekend when I detail up the X1 again... I had a leak in the headlight that was allowing water to sit at the bottom of the light... Sooo... I took the headlight out... re-positioned the pins and put it back in. It was a no go and leaked again... Last night... I decided to seal around the gasket and light with some CLEAR sealant. It seems that it may have worked... but I will be 100% sure this weekend. Thanks Matt. |

It should be a standard automotive 7" round. |

I don't think you need the "number", per se. Just 7" round, with the correct (H3?) bulb setup. I put a plain ol' (dammitnowIcan'trememberthenumber) 6065? square headlamp in my S2. Got away from the sealed beam, put in an H4 conversion with replaceable bulb and I run a Silverstar bulb in it. Beam spread is 1000X better than the old sealed beam...but I wish I'd dug further and gotten an E-code (european) light. But...the S2 light is identical to the ones I put in my Wrangler. Should be able to get -quite literally- any 7" round light from a 2 headlight car (2 headlights as opposed to 4; 2 light cars have hi/lo in the same housing). |

Stock bulb I believe is an H4. I've heard before that the round headlight is the same part as used on some older duc monsters. Never seen a PN# or hard evidence of that, but it might be worth checking out. |
