Hey gang!

I said I would post a dyno pull. I had American Harley-Davidson in Ann Arbor, MI do it this afternoon. My base run on this same dyno last fall was 75.6 hp/58.2 ft.lbs. They have since moved to a new, climate controlled (15 degrees warmer) dyno room and downloaded a program change to the dyno, so it's a bit of apples to oranges according the tech. Today I pulled 79.5 hp/65.5 ft.lbs. There's about a 6 hp gain at 5000 RPM. I was a bit disappointed. However, he told me that same bike runs before and after move and download are down a few hp. No matter. I love the way it sounds and it is noticeably peppier with power wheelies in first and quicker acceleration. It's a good change.

Performance mods:
Buell race kit (polished can)
JetHot coated header
XB12 airbox cover

All in all, I'm happy with the setup and it's smoother as well. Highly recommended. Ride safe.

I spent an hour last night on the dyno farting around with my XB9 and got some strange results.
baseline run was 77.42 and 62.16 ft-lbs. By richening-up a lot with the PC111 (just doing full-throttle runs)that went up to an astounding 78.9 and 62.98!What the numbers don't demonstrate is the rate of change in power production. Now its like someone fastened a bungee to the tacho needle above 5500 rpm.
I'm drag-racing on Sunday so we'll see if the times are cut.

I have a lot more tweaking to do but it certainly pays dividends so far.

Mark, I started with the race kit too. While I had the race can on, I had the stocker converted into a Drummer. I think it pulls harder throughout the range with the Drummer & Brian's dyno results take it into the low 80s for peak HP as well. It would be interesting to see what your bike, on that dyno makes with a Drummer.
