If you haven't already, look at the penske replacement shock vs rebuilding the stock one. Rebuild is obviously going to be cheaper. The penske is a better shock. It's on my list |

The 14" shock shows up on eBay for $100 regularly. I think a rebuild costs $200 or so. |

Try a Dutch AST shock Do you have one? Post some pictures and comments if you do - it is a very nice looking product, but makes me feel better about the Penske price as it is very, very expensive here! |

I replaced my stock rear shock with a Works Performance shock for about $450 last year. If you can't drop 1k on a rear shock, this is a great alternative. I don't seem to see them anymore on American Sport Bike's site. |

wow, this guy doesn't have any salesmanship. Wouldn't you think that it would be easier to sell that if it was clean? "Please buy my beat to s*(& shock for almost full price" Ha! |

After Shocks also does them, they will custom valve it and preset preload and all that for you. They can also replace your spring if it's not right for your weight. |
