Nail polish remover might mess up your paint. If you have a black frame. Im not sure about that but it is used to remove paint. Thats what nail polish is basicly. |

Isopropyl Alcohol usable as a solvent is sold by the gallon at Lowes or Home Depot in the paint section. It's like 70-95% concentration - and is what they're referring to. Don't know if they sell it in quarts or not. (Message edited by slaughter on February 22, 2010) |

Kroger and drugstores and wal mart will have it in different concentrations. Get the highest you can find, 90 percent or so. Handy stuff to have around anyway. |

Heat gun and 6 lb. test fishing line, and it doesn't hurt the paint. |

I have not seen Ever-clear in years. They stopped selling it in Virginia. That would be a waste of good booze using it to remove a frame puck. It is better used for removing girl's clothing. |

lighter fluid and a sharpened wooden paint mixing stick should work without stains/scratches. worked on my snowboard to get off old stomp pad. |
