Just got this email from Bike Bandit that they just got the "Michelin Anakee 2" tires for adventure bikes in. The good news is that they have a 17" front. The bad news is that they say this tire was chosen as the OEM tire on new BMW R1200GS. Oh well, if it's a good tire, I'll use it anyway. http://www.bikebandit.com/michelin-anakee-2-motorc ycle-tire?WT.mc_id=2180110 |

The're getting closer. That's a pretty high cross section on the 17" front. 90 vs a stock dimension of 70. The back is only 150 wide so that would kinda suck IMO. |

There's a pretty large selection of dirty tires available if you're willing to go to the 150 rear. Personally I'm not willing to hurt the handling on-road that much. |
