let's see.... picked up the 1125 in mid Oct with 5 miles on the ODO. It was 32 miles from the dealership to my garage. The 1125 now has..... 'drum roll' .... 37 miles. Hmmmmm.... maybe my priorities are messed up, the bmw has been getting plenty of miles. |

Hey Galen and all, Between school, nasty weather and the honey-do list, I have only managed 80 miles on the new mare. But, I have been busy laying the ground work to make her my bitch. Oil and filter have been acquired and will be swapped out after the next good ride. K&N air filter has been acquired and a De- NoiD resistor is on order. Picked up some of them fancy Traction Hand Grips everyone raves about. Ordered both the service manual and the electrical manual so the two of us can get to know each other intimately. If my schedule works out, I'll only have 1 class left after spring term to complete my degree; it's going to be a great summer! Chris |

Galen Things are a bit rough in Canada these days. Might be planning on spending a lot of time in Cali this year. Sonoma-North was a blast last year, and we should consider it. Lets talk |

Jimmy, if I de-code your post correctly, your saying 1) your running away to Cali to escape the roughness up North, or 2) due to the roughness up North you WON'T be spending a lot of time in Cali this year. -sheesh- Eitherway I can dig it! |

Where can I find more information about Sonoma Fest, such as a summary of what goes on? May 16th is my birthday and I'd like to do something fun. Last year I rode to Lake Chelan with some friends for the weekend and had a great time. |

Paul, SonomaFest is a trip to Infinion Race way. I'm not much interested in the race persay, but the roads around there are epic. 2010 is still in the planing stages. More info to follow! |

OUCH! Replacing the pod & case cover or leaving it? |

Case cover has a crack deep enough to leak, so the new $270.00 replacement is on my shelf awaiting me getting enough time together to get er done. As for the pod, I think I'll leave it for a while. Gona get some slider spools for the rear, but don't know what to do about protecting the cases. Some of the aftermarket rice-bike guy's have a plate to screw on there to double the wall thickness and looks to give good protection. |

Galen, I can tell you from first hand experience that you can never go wrong with sliders. My bike surely would have been a total loss without them. Good on you bro for riding in this shit weather. I'm going to miss Daytona as we're going down under for 3 weeks in March. Australia - I get to check one off the bucket list, mate! |

Galen, you're more than welcome to use my garage space and tools if you want. I may not have a setup as nice as Bob, but it's better than working out on the sidewalk in the rain. |

Hey Tim. I think most of the gang on this thread are west of the mountains. Redhat buell (Peter) is in Spokane. He's about the closest of our lot here. Not sure what else there is for Storm Fronts that would include your area. But its a fabulous area for riding where you are!!!! |

Hey Tim, As Eric says I'm in Spokane. As I remember Spudman was in Moscow, but I don't know of anyone that follows this thread in your neck of the woods. I looked and the threads for the Boise area riders must have been pushed down into the archives. You might wade through there and see if you can resurrect the thread. Last year the Border Raid came down through Eastern WA. Looking forward to this years Raid. Pete |

Going to work is lazy? Or is it my creative writing skills that are being disparaged? I am shocked at such a critical interpretation of my literary endevors. I was simply using my minimilist skills to convey a multi-faceted message of life, death and the search for happiness, the pull between responsibility to self and responsibility to society... whoa |

Galen, I think Sportyeric was commenting on his botched posting and not your situation. I actually wound up missing the meeting due to having to deal with my ISP and then go get a replacement modem so we could have Internet again (it had been more than 2 days and we were going through serious withdrawals). Thought I was going to miss the ride, but came upon the group riding South on 509 as I was riding North. I turned around and joined them. Just got home and waiting for Kimberly to finish putting on her gear so we can ride to my moms then a client or two. Hopefully you can join us next month, Galen. It's a fun group. |

Galen. I would never disparage anything about you. Except sometimes your self-preservation instinct or lack thereof. Paul was correct that I was critiquing my own lack of effort to properly edit my initial post. |

Well I been having a great time riding in the dry and un-frozen rain-forrest. Draggin' my toes in the corners again. I was kinda spooked by my 4 mph lay downs, as they came from out of some unknown area of hyperspace to shock and dismay me. |
