Memorial ride: sounds like fun, but I'll be out of town. Going to a track day at Putnam to try some stuff on the silver bullet! Good one Griz...we have to try and keep CJ in line. I can't do it alone... nn - your hanging out with CJ too much and have apparently absorbd some of her evilness. Good one though.... i took the bait. |

It's all an elaborate cover up. She really did but now she's misplaced it and she's stalling for time. |

I rode in this morning as well. It was the first time that I've actually been cold on my bike, but I felt a lot warmer once I got to the interstate. Usually I would go up the lake parkway and lakeshore drive but the lake was keeping things too freakin' cold this morning. I'm riding a lot from now on, my truck will be in the shop a bit over the next couple of months. I suffered through the morning because this afternoon is going to be beautiful. I have to ride down to Kenosha for dinner so I think I'm going to stop by Uke's and test out an XB12R. JT |

Yes it’s the one that was there on the floor during the last meeting. Sorry I didn’t show but I’m yet to be a real owner. Also I had planed to be at the fund raiser but I have yet to setup a DSL account in the new digs. So I never did pickup on the time and day off the board. Also I am wondering if any of you have experience in putting a stroker in a X1. I don’t want to get to the point were I cant get the engine back in the frame, like what is happening with my Sportster. Speaking of that bike. Dana? Who did you have do the work on your bike? I really need to finish that bike. Also I picked up a 72 CB 750 SOHC for the kid. But her feet don’t reach the ground. I would like to see if he has any ideas on moving the seat closer to where both her heels are on the ground.

Andrea, I can't believe you got me with that one, you are Naughty and Brave, ooohhh I would have been scared to even joke about that !! Like m2guy said, too afraid it would backfire !! Me and fiery might, possibly do the Memorial ride, weather dependent, if it's cold that early we ain't going !! I'll stay home and watch NASCAR !!! CJ

Hey John, haven't done a stroked sporty (actually did a de-stroked one....), but S&S does sell different size mounts for various deck heights. You should be able to make it all fit. Personally, I like lightening the stock stroke crank and going big bore. Advanced sleeve will sleeve your stock cylinders to 3 13/16ths (1426cc)with steel liners. Have to have the cases machined, but well worth it! good winter project... |

You were telling me about someone that did frame work for you. I need to move the top bar on my Sportster up 1.25" stretch the backbone, change the rake. Do you know a frame person? |

Hey Jon6516, Listen to Racerx1. I'd trust his evaluation of performance mods before ANY publication or advertisement or message board or whatever. (Wes, don't get a big head now.) |
