Whats the point of having a 300 tire on a sportbike other than to keep it up rite! Last night on the way home from work i pulled alongside a R1 with a 300 on its ass, the rider then wanted to play stop light drags, ok so like a dumb ass i played with him, i never got out of secound gear, yay how fun I motioned to him to fallow if he could, so i jumped on some back roads that lead to some nice twisties, he tried to show his dominence by pulling alongside me and hoping. Well come to the twisties and i step up, hes just keeping up, so i decide to have some fun, and i drop the hammer, I got to the end of the road and hes nowere to be seen so i turn around and go looking for him.. found him half way through the run in the bushes I stoped and asked him what had happened, he said "I couldn't make the turn"Whats the point of the fatty on the rear? |

In drag racing, a wider rear tire will give you a better contact patch allowing for you to put more power down at launch. That is non-issue though, because on just about any stock wheelbase sportbike, you will end up doing a wheelie. That is where stretched swingarms and wheelie bars come in. The fat tire kills handling, but that is non issue in drag racing. Also many drag racers run car like tires that don't have a curve. As for a street bike, its 100% useless and is only going to cause you headaches with the poor handling and increased costs of rubber and then finding someone with a tire machine that will take that thing. |

I have a 1989 sporty choped droped and punch to 90 cid running a 180 sticky putting out 190 hp & 145 flb at the rear with a 40 shot of nos and i have no traction problems, and shes less than streetable.I do go for the looking cool theory but if they think a big tire is gunna make it cool, they have bigger problems |

Did this really happen??? As far a a 300 tire or even a 360. They do look cool when done in conjunction with the rest of the bike right. Meaning paint and different add on's. 190 hp sporty??? Who did the build and lets see pics. |

Revolution Performence has the 90 cid jug kit and stage two thunderstorm heads, cams ignition, intake and carb kits witch will yeild about 140 to 150 hp, coustom crank and rods never hurt, through a 40 shot of juice and what do you get, one sick not very streetable bike that gets real bad gas milage |
