Think there is room for a 200 on the back of this thing? If so, any issues with handling? |

Yes. IIRC someone tried and was not happy. Do a search. Real question is why? |

It'll slow down handling. |

Any time I have ever deviated from stock-sized tires, it has negatively affected handling. If you are one of those people that have fat chicken strips on your tires, by all means, throw on the fattest tire that will fit because you won't know the difference. But if you appreciate a good-handling bike, stick with stock-sized tires and buy better rubber if you are not happy with the grip from the factory tires. |

buy better rubber What would you recomend? The Corsa IIIs I find to be great on dry roads, but I am not sure about them in the rain. |

I have read of issues with the XB's and 200 tires rubbing belt guards and the belt. It wouldn't surprise me if the 1125R is the same.

Yep, only negative. I have been happy with every Pirelli tire I have tried on my various bikes. All of them have their strengths and weaknesses. I do like the Scorpion Sync as an all around tire, it comes on the XB12X. |

If you put a wider tire on, it squeezes the beads together making the tire taller and rolls the sides. That kills the handling. Its doesn't look good either unless you go with the right rim size. That's assuming your doing it for looks. The 180 is far better in the corners. |

heck they were having problems keeping the 190's from rubbing against the muffler at speed from what i remember??? i thought anyway. so i would figure the 200 would be even worse for that |

Afhans, I can't comment on what works better in the rain. Quite frankly, I ride like a grandma when the road is wet or cold. I like Pirellis, having used the standard Diablo for more quite a few years on several bikes, but for my sport-oriented riding, my favorite is the Pilot Power 2CT. Admittedly, I haven't tried anything in depth besides the Diablos and the 2CTs (I've had bikes come with stock or other tires and I haven't liked them so I've gotten rid of them within a few hundred miles) but handling with the 2CTs is great. Turn-in requires minimal effort and mid-corner stability is impressive. Outright grip is more than I'll ever use on the street. If you are interested in improving wet weather grip but don't mind giving up a bit of dry-weather performance (you may not even notice it, depending on how aggressively you ride), the Pilot Road 2 is supposed to do well when there's water on the road. I'm on my 2nd set of Pilot Road 2's. For all around riding, wet or dry, they are hard to beat. I get ~10,000 on the rear. I'm not a real aggressive rider but my chicken strips are usually below 1/2" for normal street riding. Later Neil S. |

I'm with Froggy. Had them on my SX and they were great, good wear life also. |

Like fleshrocket I put on a set of the Pilot Powers's and I'm very happy with them. I went for a typical spirited ride yesterday, pavement was wet but they inspire confidence pretty well. The turn in was not as strong as the stock Corsas but the difference wasn't all that great. |
