Be really easy on those tires until they are scrubbed in. I've even heard of people taking fine sandpaper to them. |

Still no word from Pirelli on my front...no e-mails no nuthin'! I'm gonna order one anyways and if the free one shows up, I'll by another rear to have a set. What a cluster f***! The stealership can't fit me in until next Wednesday! So it looks like no riding for me this weekend...again! I need a second bike!!! |

David...good to hear from ya. Stay safe and keep us updated. Thanks Bart for the hookup! I'm getting my tire installed tomorrow at lunch, so I'll be ready for a Sunday putt. Quick run to Sonoita anyone? |

Wycked, I hope she'll let me back on it again! LOL. I should be fine in a few weeks. My knee feels spongy and weak today though Ski, That would be great. I loved that ride! Maybe we could get a good sized group together. What ya say guys? (Maybe I'll even have my own bike again by then?) David, Stay safe man, head down, condition one! Take care all. |

DAVID, Glad you made it safely, come back the same way!!! You really should have left your woman and your bike with me, I would have taken good care of them... Brian, I may be up for a ride, I've been busy though between hospital visits and running errands. Gotta go to Phoenix again tomorrow. Xb9rski, I hope to plan the same thing, perhaps an extended weekend, (not a holiday weekend) ride up on Friday to Showlow, do the loop on Saturday, ride back on Sunday... Let's keep this on the burner, the route is really a great ride!!! A long one, but still a great ride through some Beulltiful country!!! Charlieboy, I don't think he was talking about the bike... |

Tucson harley Raped me with fee's though 128$ to mount both of them. I've checked with two dealers - I mean Stealers - here in Phoenix, the choice is between $140 or $150 for two tires mounted. Geezzz!! Still can't figure out why they aren't more honest - and get a mask and a gun for this robbery!! |

Brian, did they say what they were going to charge you for the tire mounting? Don, Yea, these Stealerships are all about the profits, they don't give a crap about us riders. |

WOW... That's pretty spendy for tire changes... Is that with the wheels on the bike? If you can lift the bike it's VERY easy to remove the rear tire at the least and the front looks as easy... |

They never asked if it was wheels on or off, they said one hours labor per tire, and they charge $70 to $75 an hour!!! My Pitbull stands are still in storage in California, so... It really doesn't matter, I haven't got the front tire yet (Pirelli) and it looks like I'll be putting the Buell on the bankruptcy anyway, so why change tires? On a brighter note, I may have some tires and S3T parts for sale soon... |

When I called the one closest to me they said it didn't matter, it was a flat rate that they charge per tire whether on or off the bike. Charles...I was not talking about the bike. |

I know, I know... Don't I feel Sheepish I didn't catch it until Bart clued me in. Sometimes I don't realize I'm definitely not the only dirty minded bugger around here. Besides, I'm not even on crutches... Man, damn thing didn't even hurt until they sewed it up. Now it's building pressure like a pressure cooker no matter how much motrin I gobble. edited by charlieboy6649 on March 30, 2004 |

Sadly none. I'm dedicated to my Marines, or stupid, depending on how you look at it. I asked that they not cast it so that I could continue to work. I'm here at work with my leg propped up on a chair. Sure I'm on light duty, but I didn't want to leave them out in the cold. My replacement isn't exactly the ideal choice. They're thanking me Medical can't determine if what they're seeing on the X-ray is bone or soft tissue damage. I'm supposed to get another in a few days (Calcification helps a break show up better) If they still can't tell, I'm off to the Hospital for an MRI. In my own limited medical opinion, she's broken. I'm no stranger to knee injury thanks to football and boot camp. Time will tell... |
