Riverfront in Lawrence is still doing Buell Parts and full service.. down side is Dec 26th will be there last day open.. Topeka HD will still honor all Buells with parts and service. In fact they have a few Buells left on the floor to sell still.. I live in lawrence and now will be taking my Buell to Topeka after Dec 26th for parts and service. | ||

Me and Ratfink pulled the motor out of his bike and ill be damned if im doin that shit on mine.....we looked like 2 monkeys. ummmm... I am just guessing here, but I am pretty sure that didn't have anything to do with the bikes. | ||

Bear... Does riverfront have any clearance prices on buell stuff? Parts, gear, etc? Anything worth me getting in the truck and making the drive? | ||

All Riverfront HD T-shirts 20% off, All sweatshirts sweaters hoodies 40% off, Just about every thing is on clearance.. not much Buell stuff left.. but there are a few things and those are on sale.. some Big Buell patches i saw 2 left on self.. $13.95 use to be like 22.00 i think? Not sure what they have for parts left.. but i do know they are trying to sell every thing.. cause next week they have to move it all to Topeka HD. Saturday DEC 26th is there last day Open closed on Christmas.. So it might be worth your drive to find a deal or two on some thing.. | ||

Don't bother driving to riverfront hd today. I am sitting in the parking lot now (11 am) and the doors are still locked and the lights are off. I have been here since 10 am. Kinda annoyed. Oh well. | ||

it would have been nice if they would have put up a sign, or changed the answering machine. In the time I spent in the parking lot, I saw at least 8 other cars show up, wanting to get in. Sounds to me like they were just being lazy. | ||

Ya i just got an email from them stating due to weather Topeka Harley and Riverfront Harley will both be closed saturday.. here is what it said.. : Stores Closed Due to the weather, Topeka Harley-Davidson and Riverfront Harley-Davidson will be closed today (Saturday the 26th). Topeka Harley-Davidson will re-open on Tuesday for regular business. Riverfront Harley-Davidson will open on Tuesday for returns and clothing purchases. It will be the final week for the Riverfront business. Don't forget the New Year's Day Ride (weather permitting) Jan 1 at Topeka H-D. Gathering at Noon and the ride leaves at 1:00PM. | ||

I am pretty much over supporting local dealers. I can't tell you how burnt I felt sitting there for that long without anyone showing up. I really don't care if they have so much inventory left over that they are giving it away. I hate to be like that, but damn, they really couldn't post up a sign? Maybe superior service (like this) is part of the reason they are going out of business? | ||

They are closed for good now.. all left over items sent to Topeka.. all riverfront lawrence branded items- to be sold at topeka hd on discount, and some things given away on rides, fund raisers etc... as far as the sign for customers.. i heard they all (employees) got phone calls not to come in that morning cause the snow plow company failed to show up at 8am to clean the parking lot.. | ||

the lot was clean when I got there... And there was a dude in the lot when I got that that said he had been there since 9. He was parked in the clean lot... So unless he moved, the lot was clean when he got there. Either way, I don't plan to give them any money, and it sounds like it doesn't matter. Also, lot clean or not, sure seems like someone was there (to know if the lot was clean, or not clean) and they could have posted a ••••••• sign. All that said, I know it isn't your fault man, and you are just the messenger. Thanks for sharing what you do know about the situation. I appreciate the info man. Now then... We should all get together for some winter BBQ, and talk about the good ole days when the weather was warm and we could ride our damn buells. Who is in?? | ||

No sweat Biff, i hear ya.. id be pissed too, drive all that way for nothing just cause of some snow.. wont be much of a messenger boy any more... cause Riverfront HD is no more.. As for the Winter BBQ.. count me in.. but uhm will we be riding our 2 wheel Buell machines? or meeting up in our 4 wheel cages?? | ||

There is a new BBQ place at legends Called Back Fire BBQ by the Orange County Choppers guys..Had dinner there last night.. it was pretty good.. and my waitress named Ashley was pretty HOTT! I'll be going there again... Oh and the food was good too! | ||

So where are Riverfront's bikes? There are no Buells at Topeka HD. BTW, I'm up for lunch whenever......except for next weekend 1/23-24. We're havin a big shindig and gettin smashed for Mel's bday. You guys are invited to come out to the house. Let me know if you need the address/directions. | ||

Riverfront had only 2 buells left when they closed.. a white 09 Firebolt, and a red 09 Xb12scg, Topeka HD had 4 Buells, a 2010 Black Uly... which Mike Kirkpatrick bought, 1 08 1125r which sold the day Mike picked up his bike, 1 09 black CR and 1 09 White 1125r.. which my guess is they are all sold now.. I talked to Eli, he cant even order any Buell gear to sell at blowout prices.. cause all the dealers on the east coast beat him to ordering all the gear.. Gails has Buells still i think.. And When we gonna do this BBQ day.. has to be on a sunday so Sharky can join us! | ||
