Kirk - My prayers are with you Brother. I'm sorry for your loss. Just caught up with the sight guys. Who's "Twodogs"? Bobby? Thanks to he and Roger for the entertainment. The Blackhawk track day sounds awesome. Does someone have info on the Grattan one?

Don, I left messages for Team Chicago and Dan Schmidt inquiring if they will be hosting the Grattan freebie again this Spring. I'll let everyone know when hear back from them. There's nothing on the Grattan website. |

Next Windy City meeting is this Thursday, March 4. Don't forget to bring in your leathers and a few rags (not doo-rags ) because cleaner and conditioner will be available for everyone to use. See previous post dated Feb 26, 7:07 PM for more details.

Hi all, Don't forget the meeting is tomorrow night! Spring is almost here and now is the time to get out and make plans for the upcoming season. Dan Schmitt of Team Chicago just left, he stopped in to let us know that the date for Grattan is set for April 3rd. Cost is FREE again this year if you pre-enter, $25.00 at the gate. I have the pre-entry forms here for those interested. See you tomorrow, Sam Sam Scolastico Illinois H-D/Buell 1301 S. ....and just for all you last minute lurkers: Bring your leather apparel to the meeting tonight for some much needed maintenance. Cleaners, conditioners, waterproofing, dyes and polish (black)will be provided. You supply the elbow grease and rags. I did one of my boots last night in about 15 minutes and it turned out great. |

Hi All...Just got off the phone with BRAG National. I had a nice conversation with a very polite gentleman but am underwhelmed to report that for us locals that can only make one or two events, it is all or nothing. In essence, you have to pay the same $75 registration fee regardless if you only participate in one dinner. I found this a little disturbing as even HDI made daily passes available for the Harley 100th Anniversary Homecoming in 2003. Oh well, Looks like I and perhaps a few others will be "Brown Baggin' It" and waiting outside to meet up with y'all afterwards. |

Sorry I missed the meeting last night. My schedule is very busy at this time, but I would like everyone to know that I still support the club and it's effort to bring us timely and accurate info reguarding anything to do with our leathers. Bill, what if you don't go to any of the dinners. I have been to every Homecoming Buell has had, and to be honest, the food isn't that great. The best parts are the riding and the time in the Bar after the dinner. |

Who is this Brentx1 character? You know, I seem to remember someone by that name.......a long, long time ago. Something about a new baby....then "poof" there's nothing more. Congratulation on your new son (and new life) |

Brent...I do believe I covered that with the Brown Bag your dinner humor. Actually, I only have time for the Thursday Dinner and the Sig "O" and I would like to see Erik again. However, at $150 per couple it is out of the question. Hell, I can dine at the finest Chicago has to offer for less than that. Having worked two to four trade shows a year for over 25 years at McCormick in addition to my regular business travels to Chicago and doing a tremendous amount of entertaining (three meals a day) in and around the Loop with an unlimited expense account...trust me, I know my way around.
