I have a 2007 XB9R and am installing the American sport bike carbon-fiber airbox cover with the open snorkels(Very trick looking part!!)and air-filter element cover.I know it is necessary to run the breather line to a catch-can,BUT,this is my question.... I am a 25yr. master auto tech well as a factory certified Honda motorcycle tech, and cannot figure out how the breather re-route could add or free-up any H.P.I have seen claims of 1-5 H.P gains backed up with dyno runs.It is easy to see how the improved air-box flow along with improved fuel map would help, but the breather lines??? Please answer if you have any real world experience, thanks in advance,Brian

The PCV pumps a ton of hot and dirty air into the intake. Oil and other impurities that come out the PCV will clog up the air filter faster.
