Wow, Buell was working on a dirt bike - I'd have loved to see that one. . |

Makes me wish that I had purchased several more Buell motorcycles over the last couple years...instead of building a new house (not sure if Mrs. Maximum would agree)! |

i wonder what engine they were planning for the dirt bike. a variation of the blast? Would have never worked. Much too heavy and underpowered. I'd bet a water-cooled 450. Intriguing interview. |

Where have you guys been for the last 2 years??? Anyway, it was going to be a Rotax sourced 450cc, fuel and air in frame, and lots of other nice tricks |

Really guys, there is even a forum dedicated to the dirt bike here on Badweb (See Rooster). You guys need to get out of BBD more often. |

Supposedly the dirt bike engine was a beautiful thing, and after reviewing the patents on the Buell dirtbike frame, well, I would expect it would have been nothing less than spectacular, however, the motorcycle press would have had a problem with it, because it didn't fit their mold for a dirt bike, just like the rest of the Buell motorcycles didn't fit their vision for sport bikes. |

Man that would have been cool if they had done the enduro 1st,and made it plateable.they would have beat Ktm by a year or matched em when they started selling RFC exe`s with plates. I enjoy riding single track and ride more offroad than i do on. I bought a KLX450r Kawasaki and lucked out and got it titled and plated in Ill.in late 08.Put 100 hrs on it last year in Mi. and Co. It could have been a Buell if the timing were right. I`m sure they could have built a great trail bike but its too bad stuff like that has to proven on the race track to gain the attention to sell. It takes too long to market and I gotta ride whats affordable and available.Sure am looking forward to riding my XT this year which I acquired in Oct. |
