Torquaholic, my bike is an '08 and The DSB map was used on the '09 Geico bikes of Danny Eslick and Barney, my bike runs great and the Geico bikes spoke for themselves! I'm sure the ECM will work fine on all years, just like the EBR website say's. |

Manxboy, I thought the race ECM was non-adjustable, and that you had to buy a $500 upgrade to gain that capability. Are you saying that you bought the $250 ECM and it gave you the ability to adjust all of those parameters? |

I have the same question as fleshrocket. We hear about Old Shite Box and Twin Machine and ECMspy adjusting the stock ECM. How does this work? I am guessing that the plug-n-play ECM is similarly adjustable, the extra $500 is just for the cables, software and tuning license. Is this correct? |

Based on what I read on here, the $250 Race ECM is locked, so if you buy the cables and software later, you need to send the ECM back to EBR so they can unlock it for you. |

Just some comment. Manxboy, A stock ECm with Stock exhaust will make more power with a good tune. Newtobuells, You can do that in the stock ECM also Torquaholic. You need 2 versions of the ECM, 1 for old 2008 1125R and 1 for 1125CR and later models. And this product is for USA spec bike only. Freight_dog, You are right about the the cables, software and tuning license that it is the extra fee. |

Why would you need different ECM's to run the 08's versus the 09+? |

Try to put a 1125R 2008 model ECM in a 2009 model CR and run it on the dyno, then you will see what happends. |

Why would you need different ECM's to run the 08's versus the 09+? The fuel injectors were different. Maybe the throttle bodies also. |

Easyrider, I'm not aware of any Stateside 1125R's making 135+hp on a stock exhaust & ECM does anyone here know of any? I do know the exhaust and ECM on my bike made 15hp more than stock on the same dyno, and way more torque. The bike was WAY nicer to ride after also. I bought my "race ECM" last year when you could only get the more expensive one, which is fully adjustable. I understand the $250 is preloaded with the DSB map which will work perfect on track, but is none adjustable. And it will work great on the road from my own experience. |

I've got one of the $250 on the way that's been pre-programed for the FMF Apex slippy. It's going on my track only bike and weather permitting I'll get some track time this weekend and report back. |

Jdugger; Did EBR offer a (specific to your exhaust type) pre-programmed $250 (non-adjustable) ECM? I thought they only offer a generic 'one size fits all' tune. This is getting velly velly interesting! |

manxbuy, I put monthly 1125's on the street after mapping with the stock exhaust, it's all about a good programmed fuel map, nothing more nothing less. |

T_man, When I bought the ECU, EBR specifically stated they would flash it with a map suitable for the FMF Slippy. I bought the $250 solution. They don't have every possible exhaust, but they have the FMF ones. Weather is crap this weekend, so it will be at least two weeks before I'm back on track. |

Thank you for the helpful information - that little tidbit will surely be useful for anyone with an FMF. Can't wait to hear your impressions of it on the track. Taker easy. |

Nice. If I could get one of these with a Drummer map, that might seal the deal. I would pick up a can and loan it to them for setup. |

I still wonder who is making the fuelmaps for EBR. And in what dynoroom they make the fuel maps, anybody a idea... |

Someone call and ask if they have a race ecm for the stock exhaust/k&n filter. |

D_adams, They didn't had good dynoroom the last time I was there, so, i think they do it externaly. |

Can ECM spy access the 'race ECM'? I would think not; but if so, it essentially becomes 'adjustable'. |

It was indicated to me they lent FMF a programmable race ECM during the development of the full systems for the 1125r, and FMF made a map for the slippy as well. |

Ahh, well there is a selling point for the FMF. I think it sounds good too, but I have never heard anyone confirm or deny ground clearance issues. It looks like it would scrape like the original Jardine. |

Ground clearance on the FMF Apex slippy is fine... at least for me, and I'm not an expert, but not slow, either. Certainly the pegs are scraping first. The FMF is *OUTRAGEOUSLY* ** LOUD **. At my home track, my bike can CLEARLY and EASILY be heard at a farm over 1/2 mile away when I hit the back straight. It is completely inappropriate for the street. |

Easyrider, I don't know who you are. Perhaps you sell components or services in direct competition with EBR? Perhaps we have met over the years in the paddock? I'd love to associate a face with your apparent expertise. I'm beginning to take your comments both personal and offensive toward my co-workers. David McGrath DSMCG |

Does anybody have a contact phone number for EBR to place an order? I am waiting for a response on this from them but I know they are really busy. Bob |

Try emailing them at orders@ebracing.com My ECM shipped. I'm looking forwards to seeing what it does for the bike. EBR emailed me the day I placed my order to ask some questions and make sure the correct calibration was loaded into the ECM. That's service. |
