Hey Mike, Just got the power back on,it was out for three days, and lost a lot of trees. Hope you guys made it through the Ice storm ok. The motel is in Brookfield, about 20 miles north of East Troy. The Buell web site had listed it as the Homecoming headquarters with free motorcycle washing area, and M/C parking. Eric. are you getting yours from Route66 ? Brian. |

Route 66 called me tonight and said mine will likely be coming in January. Eric, if yours is the first one, Jody said it is on its way! Brian, We were outta power for about 36 hours, but no damage. Hopefully it didn't get you too bad. |

Brian, Power came back on Friday, 4 days without. It's great to flip a light switch and have something happen. Lot of trees down, but no damage to the house. We use gas for heat, hot water and cooking so life went on with a little help from the Troy gen-set. Thanks for the info. on the hotel and the pic of your bike in the trees. |

Life is almost back to normal; it does go to show you how little you really need to get by. I'm ready for spring....anyone plan to ride to homecoming? To the lucky few who are getting new bikes this year; let's see some pictures! |

Mike, Camping out in your own house is strange, and with the wife getting a little grumpy, wasn't making things any better.I would be in my element, camping in the great outdoors, and the wife said thats were I'll be next time. Tim, Thanks for the good words, and con-grats on your VIN#316 ,hope the weather is nice for your delivery and ride back home. Brian. |

Not sure about the 1st. Obviously most people will be off the 4th of July. Might be able to pull this trip off and only have to ask for a few days off at work. What was everybody thinking? Would it be possible to be back in Tulsa in time for work on Monday the 7th? |

Well luckily i've got about 50 days of vacation available to me this year and I HAVE to take 25 of them. So, i'm up for however many days. One thing to think about is all the drunks out on the 4th so we may want to leave on the 2nd or 3rd. On a completely unrelated note my damn drive belt snapped on the way home today I'm debating on replacing the whole setup with a '04 and newer one. Anyone ever changed out the front pulley? |

Oh darn. Yeah that 03 belt is kinda quirky. Some last a long time, some don't. A buddy of mine had an 03 belt on his "stunt!" bike with no failures at 20K! If you do decide to upgrade to the 04 belt/sprockets, I have a "used" belt that would fit. You can have it. As for Homecoming..yeah I would want to hit the road on the 2nd or 3rd of July (or sooner?). |

Thanks for the offer Drake, but RT 66 has the '03 belt in stock so i'm just gonna go pick it up this afternoon. I really don't think i'll be rolling on the XB9 for much longer. When my house sells i'm really leaning towards picking up a 1125R and possibly a KTM 950. So I may just sell or trade it in the XB. |

That's good news. I wasn't sure how quickly those would sell out. To the guys with rooms already: Would you be willing to split a room? I would sleep on the floor if I had too. If not, I understand...some people like having a room to themselves. |

Drake, I have room If needed. Mike, You got a better room rate, the Sheraton in Brookfeild was $90 for a two bed, where are you staying? BTW,the OKC craiglist had two XB Buell listings, one was parting out, and the other just the front end. Eric, Hows that new ride? Need a new rear tire from that extra HP? Also did you get the new info about the oil level check? (Message edited by b_bueller on January 05, 2008) |
