I know there are a few threads on this already so apologies for starting yet another but I am going to start the high bar conversion on my "R" shortly and just want to confirm a couple of things. I am going to order the longer throttle cables and the longer brake/clutch hoses but seem to recall that the L/H switchgear wiring needs to be extended - can anyone confirm that and if so is there a "plug in" extension available or do I need to make one up? If there's no plug in kit does anyone happen to know how many wires there are and the types of connector involved? I know it's a lot to ask but it'd be nice to have all of the info I need in one place. I've bought a spare R top triple tree and intend just to drill it and fit some Renthal Fat Bars for now... |

There is no plug in play adapter, and both sides will need to be extended.. i recommend soldering and heat shrink.. don't use butt connectors . as far as how many wires? as many as it takes to get the job done. whether its 1 or 15 you will still have to break out the soldering gun and get er dun.... |

OK, thanks... I'll peel the "loom" back this weekend and order some appropriately coloured wire and some heatshrink sleeves... |
