On the top plate on the left and right side dead center (next to screw's) of the master cylinder lid on my XB there are small cutouts/slots in the lid. Seems like the rubber part should seal it but I get a small amount of brake fluid weeping (sp?) out of this gap. Whats the cure for this problem? | ||

Those are slots to equalize any pressure or vacuum that may be produced by displacement of brake fluid. If memory serves (and I could be wrong), you recently did your brakes. You may have overfilled slightly. It will continue to weep until you remove a small amount of fluid, or let it weep, and the fluid will eventually stop coming out of the vent once it reaches the proper level. If the fluid is at the proper level and it weeps, then something may be wrong or a tiny pressure relief (I think thats what its for) hole plugged in the master cylinder. | ||

Sounds good... Yes I recently did my brakes but I also had this occur at my last trackday, I'd be riding and notice a small amount of fluid dripping out of the holes. I will check the level and bring it down a bit more if it appears too high. Glad to hear its not a major problem. | ||
