Good day Gents, I have a '97S3T. I pulled off the stock aircleaner assembly some time ago and have finally gotten sick to death with looking at that ugly air cleaner mount tab that sticks out in the wind. Its my understanding that XM's dont have that tab. My question, is there any thing else other then picking up a used XM mount or spending $250 for a American Sport Bike billet mount? In addition, did the old XM mounts have structural issues? Either way i know i must use "New" bolts. Thanks |

Yes, I polished it. I polish everything polishable when I have it off - including the exhaust, swingarm, shifter, brake pedal, etc.... No it does not take that much time or effort yo keep it shiny. The rear pulley is next (anybody have a spare to sell cheap?) |

Hey Scott, that pic of your S2 was taken at Hampton beach wasn't it? Weird to find the place without more cars. What time of year was it? Steve |

Close! It is North Hampton last summer. As you can see it was foggy and a little cool, so that it why it is empty. I ride A1A several times a week - it is a nice relaxing ride good for clearing my head.... Sometimes I keep going until I am up the coast a ways in Maine..

Cool, maybe we can get together for a ride when the roads clear. I am about an hour from Hampton. Steve |

Sure Maru, stay in touch when spring comes around.I know plenty of fun roads in the area. Oh and apologies to Dvc for the hijack, let us know if you have any more questions about cutting that ugly thing off! |
