I am looking for some stands to do tire changes etc. I did a search and it looks like some stands needed to be modded to work. If anyone knows of some that work right out of the box could you please provide the brand name and part number? I was looking at the t-rex site since they are inexpensive but I dont know if they fit the 1125. thanks |

I have a Handy lift which was WELL worth the money if you have more than 2-3 bikes. You can use it with any of the below for a double-whammy of an easy time working on your bike. I bought the Handy Front/Rear Universal Stand Package - #13012 with the rubber pads as these were what I needed at the time ('99M2 and a buddy's '02 Monster), but will need to get the bobbin inserts. They are adjustable, so I'm sure they will work fine. The front stand works fantastic on my M2 and on the FJR, but the monster was a bit of a chore to keep in the pegs. 2 person job on the Duc. Have not tried the CR. I also use the Lo-Boy Scissor Jack - #16999 for the Excelsior which is a life saver for rear work and cleaning, but it only works on tube frames down low. Fan of the Handy products- made in USA Kirb |

I have the t-rex stands. Nice product, good price and great customer service. You need the triple tree adaptor for the front so that raises the price some, but still an excellent deal. They work with no modification. If you have an 09................ |

I have T-Rex stands for my bike. However, I work with motorcycles day in and day out. I can say that the T-Rex stands are a great bang for the buck and will more then do the job for most. However, they are surely not the quality of Pit Bull or Woodcraft. Bottom line, if you have money in the bank, go with the better brands. However, for most, like myself, that money can be served better elsewhere, like buying tires or track days. |

Pit bulls will work. I haven't used them yet on the CR but the rear is adjustable enough to work on pretty much anything and the front just needs the correct pin for the steering stem. |

If you have a 2009 model, Pitbull has a specific model to fit 1125s. I went to a Cycle Gear store and tried every rear spool stand they had (Pitbull, Trackside, Motrax) including the standard Pitbull spool stands they carried, and NONE FIT - they didn't adjust wide enough. The 1125 swingarm is much wider than most other bikes. What version of the T Rex fits the 2009 - S or V? I've never heard of them before and was just looking at the website. Pitbull is very nice, but too pricey for me. Thanks Jeff |

I was thinking the s and v was the handle style. Straight or v shaped. I may be wrong though |

I had a Pit Bull from my last bike and scratched my swingarm trying it out. I did the old "spread em with a bottle jack and a few blocks of wood" trick and it worked great. Added some Vortex spools that help prevent the stand from touching the swingarm and all is well. |

Pit Bull make a new stand for the 1125. I've got one on the way. Pit Bull is also a sponsor for Buell Racing. |

I also order the Pitbull stand.... i was going to get the cheaper Trex type, but since my 08 doesn't have spools, it would end up costing me more and still not be able to remove the rear wheel easily... |

This stand is very cool. Wave of the future maybe? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJl92w53zug&feature =player_embedded You can watch all 7 minutes, but they don't show it used on a Buell. I Don't know if they make one for Buell or not. (Message edited by buelleaver on December 26, 2009) |

Nice idea, however, for now they're too much money and not available for that many models. |

I don't know of one that fits a Buell. I have seen ones for various Aprilia's for about $500 , which isn't much more than a pair of Pitbull's |

That is bad ass, but i'm betting due to the design of our frame, and the fact Buell is dead, we will never see a stand like that for our rides... Definitely a neat and better way of lifting the bike for servicing |

I was lucky enough to get the extra wide Pit Bull 1125 spool stand for Christmas. It works great, is extremely sturdy, and has very high quality construction. I have a pair of Torin (Northern Tool) stands for the front and rear of my FZR600 that work great, but they are far too narrow for the rear of the 1125 and they are not spool compatible. The Torin stand may work fine for cradling the bottom of the 1125 forks, but I have not tried it yet. The 1125 fork width at the axle should not be significantly different from my FZR600. http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/serv let/product_6970_200349259_200349259 |

the big problem with the Buell is that the forks are different lengths at the bottom and it makes the bike sit a bit crooked on the stand. The triple tree lift works perfect: the rear of the t-rex stands rubs the swing arm, I found flipping the "v"'s around backward lets it clear.
