Just saw this on the Woodcraft home page: "2009 Buell 1125 - Rearsets in R&D....looking for customer feedback" Anybody have any info on this? I called them in the fall of '08 asking about rearsets. At that time I was told that they didn't want to R&D something for a bike in limited production. So now that the 1125 is out of production they're finally going to make rearsets for it. |

Eric Wood and I have been in a conversation about this today. I'll post some info when I get it. |

Do you still have the stock swing arm and the stock belt drive? |

I am very interested also. I sent an email to their site contact last week inquiring about rearsets. What are the racers using now? |

PM me with inquiries about the rear sets. I need to know if you have the stock swing arm and the stock belt drive. If there is enough people interested, I can help push this through. |

Please send all responses by 2pm EST on Friday. I want to give them a solid idea of actual interest. (Message edited by eboos on January 06, 2010) |

Eboos, you might be able to get something worked out with your dealer becoming a distributor. |

What rearsets did the AMA teams use? The picture I found looks like somebody shaved off the factory mount, drilled a hole in the bracket, and mounted a solid footpeg to it. No adjustment or alternate mounting holes or anything. Off topic but, Does anyone sale the case savers that are in the picture. I have been waiting impatiently for EBR to show a parts list.

If you bought the Buell chain drive conversion kit, it included the rearsets. |

The case savers are $300 for both sides. They have one in stock. I just talked to them yesterday. |

Only a couple hours left before I get back in touch with Woodcraft about these rear sets. If you want them, please PM me before 2pm EST today. Again, in your PM, let me know if you have the stock swingarm and belt drive. |

Thats about what I expected you to get. Do the math, less than 9000 1125's built world wide, I don't have broken down numbers, but say 5k were US models. Less than 10% of the Buell population posts/views here, thats now 500 bikes. Not many that are running near stock bikes are going to change rear sets, especially to something expensive like Woodcrafts. It would only be a handful of people with extra cash, or are racing. Perhaps some would change their tune and pony up after seeing them, but that still is a very small market. |

I just got a reply.
quote:Thanks very much for the information. That helps me with my decision. We may go ahead and try to make these. I've got to test 1 more set before production, but that should not be too difficult. I'll try to keep you in the loop. Thanks, Eric Wood President Woodcraft Technologies, Inc

I'm in, so long as their priced similar to other Wood Craft rear sets? |

I would think they will cost at least a bit more because they have to hold up the belt pulley. |

True, might as well factor in the fact they'll be made in such a small batch. Family Buells, "I would think they will cost at least a bit more because they have to hold up the belt pulley." |

Sorry for the late response! I'm in for my CR as long as they look good and are within reason on the price. I have woodcrafts on my XB9 and love them. Their quality, function and looks are top notch. |

I have been in contact with Woodcraft trying to get them to do this since November. So Eric already has my vote to make them, but just in case, I'm in too. |
