If you ignore the imprinted emblem on the tail of the solo seat of a 2up rider with a circle and line through it, sure, you could carry a passenger just fine. The STT came stock without passenger pegs as well though, so that could be an issue... I'm taking the passenger pegs off my 1125CR anyway - my wife would kill me if I ever suggested taking her for a ride on the back of that thing. That's why I have to keep my old Yamaha Venture. Plush spouse accomodations. |

Thanks for the pics, Froggy. I like the flatter profile of the urban assault seat. Looks a little higher because of it. Hoping work is light tomorrow and I'll get a chance to drop by the dealership during lunch. |

how much taller is the "urban assault solo seat"? The narrower base would be welcome for sure, though. |

I would guess it's about an inch taller...if the weather is decent when I get home from work today I'll try and take a pic of both to compare the difference... |

Appreciate all the scoop guys, Froggy in particular. Heading down in an hour or so to take a test ride on the beast. I'll let you know how it goes. |

Miami, nice job getting the same reference angle to compare the seats. The STT seat definitely is taller, and they did a nice job on your custom. Kind of finishes up the tail of the bike, doesn't it? Well, I appreciate all the input guys. Took the Ss for a test drive - not as comfortable as the Uly but not uncomfortable either. Kind of reminded me of my SV650 - on steroids (but with much better suspension!). So... I now have a Cherry Bomb XB12Ss in the garage! Thanks again all, I'm sure I'll have more questions soon. |

Solo seat looks neat... how much taller does it FEEL (how much more on tippy toes would you be basically). Also anybody have any comparison of the solo and two-up for aggressive riding? Say hanging off etc...? Might look into picking one up sense I rarely do two-ups and do a lot of riding in the hills/track... Seems like it would be a bit more like a traditional supersport seat, a bit flatter, more room to move around... |

It feels just a little taller, about an inch, maybe two at the most. Flatfooted I stand about 5-6 inches over the stock seat, just a little bit less over the TT seat, and just an inch over my Baldwin. I'm not much of an ass hanger, but getting better...it does feel more comfortable getting off to the side with the TT seat. Definitely more room to move...that's the biggest reason I got it. |

Anybody else have input on the seat? Perhaps I could find someone willing to do a trade... then I'd just have to pay shipping!... hmmm but then I would't be able to do a two up in the future (I do them occasionally...)... so perhaps I'll just buy the seat. With the rebound in the back a click or two lower I can flat foot with boots on. With my current setup (whatever the suspension guy did) I can't quite get it... RIGHT there... But I usually use one foot. I should be able to get used to the TT just fine, only time I wish it was lower is with a two up and I'd use the stock seat for that anyways. I am getting some adjustable pegs for the track so I can go from one inch drop (stock) to more like 1" back and no drop... maybe even up a bit (higher then the firebolt, and farther bike)... Which would make things a little more cramped but with the higher seat I would be fine... Also I think it would help me drive my knee more into the top of the tank where you can hold on better then where it currently does when hanging off. |

Hey Mike, The new seat looks great on the bike. How does it fit with your wife on the back? I sure wanted her being a happy camper too. Can you send me those photos in a higher res? Thanks, Loren |

Hey Loren! If it weren't so cold and windy here I could get her on the back to find out! She isn't quite as much of a die hard as I am, but I'm hoping to get her on there soon. I'll send those pictures to you, but the quality is crap...I'm taking new pics soon, will be much better! I love the seat though...so comfortable! Can't wait to get her on the back! |

Miami, That Baldwin saddle looks nice for folks 6' and taller. Sweet. My wife would like the little back pad. Helps prevent a "How to lose your wife ion 2 seconds" videos. |
