Toona, Yes, both vehicles were totaled according to the other driver's insurance agent. I got some cool pictures of my bike as it was dragged away. Felt like I was putting my dog to sleep. Sorry I'll be missing the res rides (if you haven't been to a Res you're missing out!), picking up an 1125R for track use. Once the fuel pump on the Yellow 9 is replaced, it will also be converted for the track. It was the only way I could convince Cathy to let me buy another bike. Sooo, I guess I'll be hanging out with Blublak more. Teach! Where you at bro!? | ||

Terp, if you head down I-97 south till you get to the Route 3 ( Crain Highway) exit to Crofton. Follow that a few miles (10?) until you come to the Route 50 intersection - just past the interchange is the Chic (Message edited by Ferris_von_bueller on November 28, 2009) | ||

Ramon the track school Corner speed has a racing certification after you take their school with WERA. I'm going to try to attend their school in 2010. It cost $450.00 you provide your bike. Get into wera I know a good friend and racer who was a student of mine back in 1999 he is in the middle class now he worked his way up racing a summit point, VIR, NJ, Pa and in Ohio. I'm gonna try to take both of their schools this coming year. | ||

Stopped by Old Glory today. For those who might be interested: All remaining Buell merchandise (shirts, helmets, gloves, jackets, etc) 50% off. They have a red XT still on the floor, and three other XB's still waiting for a home. They also have Dunlop tires for $99 fronts and $111 for rears (205's and 208's). | ||

Just to jump in (since I've been gone so long)... TPM also can certify for a race license. If I recall right, the ART II school is about $125 plus track fee and they can certify you as well.. May be a little cheaper then Cornerspeed. Just a thought.. Since your gonna go WERA I guess I wont see you at the track much since I don't cover that series.. But if you ever come over to CCS/ASRA I'll be there (most dates) with camera in hand.. Of course. OK, I'm going back to being a mystery person here for a while longer. Teach, I'll be getting in touch with you as soon as I pick up my new bike which should be any day now... Last pics of my XBEAST12Scg...I loved that bike, sure am going to miss it. It will be replaced one day with a replica, but it just won't be the same. I almost cried, but managed to keep it together.  The left fork has a slight arc to it. I'm not sure what's holding the front end on to the frame.  Check out how the rear wheel is nowhere near the seat under rails. It just fell off as we loaded it onto the truck, the rear suspension was shot.   RIP my friend, RIP... | ||

Well.. IF Pridmore comes East again next year.. Uh.. I'll be asking again as soon as I know. Did both days this year and had the best experience! Got to ride 'Scratcher' which was 40 minutes track time per round since I was riding with 'my' group and the group below 'mine'. Tiring yes, but great none the less. Damn Ramon.. I can't wait to see what's next.. I know you'll miss that machine and hope you have an even better one coming into the family. Just bought a new truck (horrible timing you know) so I had NO money to get to Joe for some of that which remained. I think I'm gonna be SOL by the time I do have the money back together. Ramon, Any time my friend... You'll be more then welcome! Plus the trailer can carry two bikes and the new truck is much nicer then the old Exploder (supercrew - 4x4 - short bed) So there is room for friends, and stuff! Hmmm.. Ok, the fairing is in. I suppose I haven't heard anything because they are waiting for 'Everything' I ordered (got a few replacement parts etc.).. I know Joe'll give me holler as soon as everything is in. | ||

Pete, Thanks! Awesome. I know without a track buddy I'll never get there. This winter I'll be working on the 9, right now I think it needs a fuel pump, replace the rear wheel & swap handle bars. Not sure about installing the fairing just yet, I'll probably just start by removing/disonnecting all the lights, license plate bracket and mirrors. I'm thinking about upgrading the brake rotor this season but that's about it. I'll def cover gas for our trips at the very least. |
