Hello Guys. My name is alex and I'm new in the forum. I live in spain and ride a really nice black 09' XB12Ss. I got an offer from a friend to switch suspension with his Scg and I was wondering if that was a good choice for me. I got my Ss because it was steadier because it is longer and the geometries are different (more angle on the fork). On the other hand I prefer the look of the lower bike but I was wondering if I could keep the steady side of it as the bike would still be long and the fork angle would be the same, or if it would be the opposite, meaning I would make a huge mistake and get and awful bike after it. I made a quick search and didnīt find anything about this matter, I'm sorry if you guys already talked about this subject. thanks in advance for the answers. |

It will not work. More specifically the rear shock will not work. The front end will work if you swap out the triple trees. The rear shock and swingarm are entirely different on the SS and will not work with the scg hardware. Same with the SS shock on the SCG. |
